And you prick a raw paw, well, next time beware!

I got a hold of a few pawpaw seeds a few years back and tried to plant them, but they did not come up in the spring. If you have a lead on seeds, I'm willing to try again.

I can do one better – I'll get you some pawpaw seedlings!

Thank you so much! Should they be planted now or in the spring? (Just trying to plan ahead - lots of holidays coming up and not so much time for gardening!)

If you do this, maybe Boaz could give us updates on how it’s going. I’d love to know about the pawpaw progress!

My wife and I love pawpaws! We planted two from Tree Pittsburgh in our yard in Forest Hills this spring, and are eager to watch them grow!

So cool! Are they producing fruit yet?

I love pawpaws! I make a point to hunt some down every year. This year we went to the Ohio Pawpaw festival in Athens which was a blast. We tried foraged and cultivated varieties and even bought some saplings. Fingers crossed that someday I will have my very own pawpaw harvest!

We used to sing this little song when I was a child (1960s). It was old even then. https://hirschmanwater.com/way-down-yonder-in-a-very-large-pawpaw-patch/

I'm lucky enough to eat a few every year, and we've got a bunch of patches in our woods.

I think they taste like mango banana custard with a little vanilla!

So lucky! One day we'll have a bigger yard and I'll plant a patch of my own!
